The Conference theme this year is ‘Sport and the Media – In the Spotlight’ and presenters include prominent sporting and media experts who will speak on a range of topics focusing on the relationship between sport and the media. The exciting program includes panel discussions featuring CEOs from major sporting organisations including David Gallop, NRL; Steve Tew NZRU; past and present athletes/sporting stars including Ian Thorpe and Al Baxter; and leading sports journalists including Rebecca Wilson, Josh Massoud, Brent Read and Nicole Jeffery; as well as sessions covering issues in rights acquisition, privacy and new media.
The Conference will open with the President’s Cocktail Party at Allens Arthur Robinson on Wednesday, 8 September and the Gala Dinner on Thursday, 9 September will be held at Quay Restaurant.
Delegates are also invited to join us for three exciting optional social activities on Saturday, 11 September: tours of the famous Sydney Cricket Ground; and the Bradman Museum of Cricket and the opportunity to watch the All Blacks and Qantas Wallabies battle it out for the Bledisloe Cup at the ANZ Stadium!
